Escape to Cape Otway Lightstation and experience the tranquillity of a world-class destination, with stunning views of the Southern Ocean and Australia’s most important lighthouse.
Spectacular ocean views, glorious sunsets, close encounters with koalas, and the sound of the ocean will be among the highlights of your stay in our heritage accommodation.
We’re open to the public until 5pm, but once the gates close, you can enjoy the grounds and views in privacy. Ask us about our special sunset lighthouse guided tour.
Daily newspapers are available in the Café for those who like something to read whilst enjoying their morning coffee.
Discover the coast on our Lightkeeper’s Shipwreck Discovery Tour running daily, with special offers for accommodation guests. Walk in the footsteps of lightkeepers and pioneers along the Great Ocean Walk with our experienced and knowledgeable local guides.
Central to all the highlights of the Great Ocean Road, the Lightstation is a great spot to base yourself for a long weekend, a week or a fortnight. Explore the Twelve Apostles, the Great Ocean Walk, shipwrecks, beaches, waterfalls, cool temperate rainforest and the beautiful Otways hinterland.
We’re surrounded by Great Otway National Park, and whales can often be seen from the lighthouse between May and October.
Because we are so close to the national park, please note that domestic pets are not permitted.
