Built in 1858 from sandstone quarried at the nearby Parker River, Lightkeeper’s Café is open daily to visitors of the Lightstation from 10:30am to 4:00pm, serving snacks, light lunches and tea & coffee.
Try our famous homemade Lighthouse scones baked daily onsite and served with a dollop of fresh cream and a delicious smear of Otway Kitchen Jam.
Our baristas serve locally roasted Hello Coffee and we buy fresh local milk and cheese from Apostle Whey Cheese which is situated on the lushest green hills in the Otways!
We also offer a range of alcoholic beverages including locally brewed Prickly Moses beer and cider.
Due to the location of our cafe and the limitations of our heritage infrastructure the Lightkeeper’s Cafe can only accommodate and is accessible only to visitors to the Lightstation Precinct.
While Cape Otway Lightstation will endeavour to accommodate food allergies or intolerances, we cannot guarantee completely allergy-free meals. This is due to the potential of trace allergens in the working environment and supplied ingredients. Neither Cape Otway Lightstation nor our employees assume any responsbility for a person’s sensitivity or allergy to any food item provided in our cafe
