Lightkeeper’s Cafe

Built in 1858 from sandstone quarried at the nearby Parker River, the Lightkeeper’s Café is located in the centre of the Lightstation Heritage Precinct overlooking the Lighthouse. The Cafe is open to visitors to the Lightstation from 10:30am to 4pm, serving tea & coffee and sweet treats.

Please note that due to staffing limitations we are not serving a lunch menu. Due to its location in the centre of our Heritage Precinct and limited heritage infrastructure, the cafe is accessible only to visitors of the Lightstation.

Try our famous homemade Lighthouse scones baked daily onsite and served with a dollop of fresh cream and a delicious smear of Otway Kitchen Jam.

Our baristas serve locally roasted Hello Coffee with fresh local milk from Apostle Whey Dairy which is situated on the lushest green hills in the Otways!

Due to the location of our cafe and the limitations of our heritage infrastructure, the Lightkeeper’s café is accessible only to visitors to the Lightstation Precinct. The café is part of the Lightstation Heritage Precinct and is not open when the Lightstation is closed.

While Cape Otway Lightstation will endeavour to accommodate food allergies or intolerances, we cannot guarantee completely allergy-free meals. This is due to the potential of trace allergens in the working environment and supplied ingredients. Cape Otway Lightstation assumes no responsibility for sensitivity or allergy to any food item provided in our café.
