Lightkeeper’s Cottage
The Head Lightkeeper’s Cottage was built in 1857 and was home to the Lightkeepers of Cape Otway. Situated in the centre of the Lightstation Heritage Precinct, it offers the chance to step back in time and immerse yourself in history in this unique location.
Visitor Notice – Due to conservation works being undertaken across our Heritage Precinct from September 2026 into mid/late 2027 we currently have limited accommodation available to book across this period. We will be releasing further dates once works timelines are confirmed over the next several months. Sign up to our website to receive alerts on future accommodation date releases as they become available. Please note that views of the Lighthouse will be obscured whilst conservation works to the structure are underway between late September 2026 and January 2027.
