Daily TalksA self guided experience with a guide at the top of the Lighthouse and at the Talking Hut to share our stories.
The Lightstation grounds are open every day from 9.00am to 5.00pm daily (except Christmas day). Last entry at 4.30pm. Entry Fees apply.
There is a guide at the top of the tower all day and another guide at the Talking Hut. The experience throughout the heritage precinct is self guided allowing you to explore and enjoy at your own pace. An array of interpretation signs provide insight into the history of the Cape. If time permits join in on one of our free history or native plant talks as detailed below.
Native Plant Talks – 12.00pm & 3.00pm
At the Cape we have over 15 native plants growing. Meet at the Talking Hut and join our guides to learn about the many culinary and medicinal uses and benefits of these plants.
History Talks – 11.00am, 2.00pm & 4.00pm
Each day our knowledgeable guides are happy to share stories of the history of the lifestyle of the early Lighthouse Keepers and their families. Talks are held outside Lightkeeper’s Cafe and generally run for 20 minutes.
